About

Visiting Nurse Association and Blue Water Hospice serves patients and families throughout our community by providing quality, cost-effective health care.  Our organization is dedicated to producing the best outcomes for those in our care while treating all patients like a member of our own family.

Our non-profit organization was founded in 1952 and has evolved into a premier provider of home health, hospice and non-medical support services throughout southern Sanilac, St. Clair and northern Macomb counties.  Built on a solid foundation, we have deep roots in the community and plan to continue caring for residents in our service area by providing the best choice in the area.

How are we different?  Our team of physicians, nurses, aides, volunteers, chaplains, and therapists are dedicated and sincerely want to understand the needs of the patient first before decisions are made.  We inform and educate the patients and families under our care to ensure that all options are understood before proceeding.  Your care is our first priority.

Mission, Vision and Focus

These are our principles that form a foundation for service.  Our day-to-day operation is influenced by a set of statements that outline who we are.  Our quality care is measured by your satisfaction.  To that end, we perform our mission each day when delivering care to those we serve.  From the board room to the patient’s home, we operate under these guiding principles.

MISSION
To provide high-quality, cost effective health care to any patient and family member with short-term, long-term, or end-of-life care.
