Specialized Adult Day Program

Are you a care provider for an individual with Alzheimer's/dementia seeking assistance in providing quality care for your loved one? Do you need a break from the everyday obligations of care giving? The Visiting Nurse Association and Blue Water Hospice Specialized Adult Day Program offers respite services in a safe, friendly and home like setting.

The Adult Day Care is a specialized program for individuals with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's and other related forms of dementia. This lively program is designed to provide respite for the caregiver and person centered care and activities for participants.

We offer a variety of activities and therapies in a safe and friendly homelike setting: socialization, music, and pet therapy, arts & crafts, exercise, special events and outings to name a few.

Our knowledgeable and caring staff receives continual dementia specific, health and geriatric training. There are also chaplain services, dietary, physical and occupational therapy assessments available upon request. Participants also benefit from our monthly wellness program and medication management.

We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM; additional specialized care is available seven days a week. Eligibility and Fees

  • Diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or other related form of decreased mental abilities (dementia)
  • Patients are assessed on a sliding fee scale based on patient/family taxable income
